Bring attention back to the grain, color and character of exterior wood. From Narvon, I offer fence, deck and exterior staining throughout Berks, Lancaster and Chester Counties.
More than deck boards.
The service can include fences, decks, railings, pergolas and other exterior wood. The project archive shows deck transformations, a pergola and a timber entry, alongside close-up finish work. Tell me which structures or surfaces need attention so the estimate can cover the details as well as the larger areas.
Assess the wood and its existing coating.
We look at the existing stain or coating, weathering and the condition of the wood before deciding on preparation. Cleaning, sanding and other preparation are planned around that assessment. A new stain should be chosen with the current surface and the desired appearance in mind.
Agree on the look and practical timing.
Stain appearance depends on the wood and finish selected. We discuss the intended color and coverage, access and suitable application conditions. Before the work is complete, we review the finished surfaces and the appropriate care for the selected product.
Yes. Exterior wood staining is not limited to decks and fences. Share photographs of your pergola, timber entry or other woodwork so we can discuss access, preparation and the finish.
Can a new stain go directly over the old one?
That depends on the condition and type of the existing coating. The surface needs to be assessed before deciding what preparation and finish are appropriate.
How often will it need to be maintained?
Exposure, wear, wood condition and the chosen product affect maintenance. We can discuss care for your specific project; a single interval would not be accurate for every deck or exterior structure.
