Warmth in every timber.
An exterior timber-entry staining project in Brownstown, Pennsylvania, by Tru Elegance Painting.
The work in focus.
The exposed woodwork is the defining feature of this entry: substantial posts, curved braces, beams and the timber-lined underside of the roof. The staining brings a warm wood finish to the entrance alongside its stonework and light-colored siding.
This project is an example of exterior wood staining beyond a conventional deck or fence. The photographs document the staining work, not construction of the entry or installation of its stonework.
From application to the finished entry.
The in-progress photograph shows work on the upper timber details. The completed photograph gives a wider view of the posts, beams and roof structure together. The images were taken from different angles and in different lighting, so they should not be treated as an exact color comparison.
For your own entry, pergola or exterior woodwork, the existing coating, condition and access help determine preparation and scope. Send a few photographs and your town to start that conversation.
